Job description: 

AdaCore is looking for an experienced technical marketeer with software development experience to help drive adoption and awareness of AdaCore among technical audiences such as developers and technical executives. In this role, the Lead of Technical Marketing will be a senior contributor to the Marketing team, working closely with Product Marketing, Sales and Engineers to deliver high-quality content across a variety of formats and channels. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and strategist who can collaborate with anyone to translate technical jargon into stories and assets that drive business value for our prospects, customers and overall community. This is an exciting role that provides an opportunity to manage a team while implementing the company's vision on the ground.

 Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participating to the overall product positioning strategy
  • Coordinate the activity of the technical marketing team
  • Developing new strategies to promote the technical capabilities of our products
  • Work with marketing to build a story that ties the market problem together with the component designed to fix it
  • Writing articles (blog posts, news articles) and interacting with editors to promote the technology
  • Organizing and delivering webinars
  • Organizing and participating in conferences
  • Participate to social media lead generation campaigns
  • Work with product and marketing teams to determine technical content plans across solutions, use cases, differentiated features, and product launches geared towards a technical audience

Qualifications: 

  • You must have at least 2 to 3 years prior experience in leadership or management
  • You must have at least 5 years of experience in the industry
  • You must be self-taught or have 1-2 years of experience with software development, either professionally and/or as a hobbyist
  • You are fluent with written English
  • You have good presentation skills and are comfortable in a virtual or in person environment
  • You can set your own priorities and are able to learn by yourself in complex environments;
  • You are interested in joining a geographically-distributed team, and can undertake the occasional travel for face-to-face meetings or on-site customer visits.
  • A track record of working in a cross-functional role that balances the needs of different stakeholders, while still prioritizing the customer
  • An experienced software developer, technical sales engineer, technical marketing manager or technical writer might all be good fits for this role

The following are not mandatory but are considered a plus: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • A good understanding of Ada and SPARK
  • You have experience with technical writing in a similar field
