As a Field Engineer, you will utilize the skills you’ve acquired in your 5 to 10 years of software development to help new, and prospective, customers in their adoption of our products. You will also be responsible for targeted customer development contracts.
Responsibilities include:
Serving as the point person between AdaCore and assigned customers during mentorships and evaluations
Organizing and / or delivering on-site follow-ups and consulting
Organizing and / or delivering on-site customer training
Participating in customer-specific software development activities
Investigating and prototyping new technologies
Understanding each customer's and project's unique challenges and how best we can help address them
Developing representative code and processes in customer context to demonstrate technology usage
Supporting marketing activities by assisting in the process of collateral and presentation creations, etc.
Providing feedback from the field wrt potential sales opportunities and/or ideas to better position our technology
Serving as a technology evangelist by following internal development and pushing new features to appropriate customers
Owning the life cycle of the sales process from evaluation to full tool integration
Traveling to customer sites; up to 35% travel annually
Qualifications:
5 to 10 years in software development (embedded experience is a plus)
Proficiency in C, C++, or other compilable languages
Familiarity with or experience in the Rust programming language
Highly motivated to learn about leading edge technologies
Strong prospecting abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent listening, presentation and public speaking abilities
Though not strictly necessary, knowledge of Ada is a plus
