As a Field Engineer, you will utilize the skills you’ve acquired in your 5 to 10 years of embedded software development to help new, and prospective, customers in their adoption of our products. You will also be responsible for targeted customer development contracts.

Responsibilities include:

• Serving as the point person between AdaCore and assigned customers during mentorships and evaluations
• Organizing and / or delivering on-site follow-ups and consulting
• Organizing and / or delivering on-site customer training
• Participating in customer-specific software development activities
• Investigating and prototyping new technologies
• Understanding each customer's and project's unique challenges and how best we can help address them
• Developing representative code and processes in customer context to demonstrate technology usage
• Supporting marketing activities by assisting in the process of collateral and presentation creations, etc.
• Providing feedback from the field wrt potential sales opportunities and/or ideas to better position our technology
• Serving as a technology evangelist by following internal development and pushing new features to appropriate customers
• Owning the life cycle of the sales process from evaluation to full tool integration

Qualifications: 

• 5 to 10 years in embedded software development
• Proficiency in C and C++
• Highly motivated to learn about leading edge technologies
• Strong prospecting abilities
• Strong communication and human interaction abilities
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent listening, presentation and public speaking abilities
• Though not strictly necessary, knowledge of Ada is a plus
