About Kayzen

Kayzen is the future of mobile marketing — building software that allows mobile app developers to connect with their users. 

We are a B2B SaaS platform that allows companies to run mobile programmatic marketing in-house.

Programmatic marketing, put simply, is the process of automating the buying and selling of digital ads in real-time. Programmatic in-housing takes this one step further by allowing advertisers to fully own the technology stack and skills required in this process.

Programmatic in-housing is still in its early days of adoption in the mobile advertising market. This is where we have an impact!

The Team

You will work with a carefully selected, diverse and globally distributed team from customer success, engineering, data science, design, product and more. We are highly motivated and aligned in our quest to disrupt the multi-billion dollar ad-tech industry. You will report directly to the Business Development Lead.

We would like you to be part of our journey, as our Business Development Representative/Intern (m/f/d).

What your day will look like

As our Business Development team member, you will frequently be the first point of contact for customers as they learn about Kayzen. The role will involve understanding the market of app advertisers and proactively contacting them through email, LinkedIn, networking, and other channels. You will need to understand Kayzen’s unique value proposition and be able to communicate in writing, on calls, and at industry events.

You will be working closely with and under the guidance of the BD Lead on a daily basis as well as other teams such as Marketing, Programmatic Success, Product, and the senior leadership.

Most of your day-to-day will be spent researching the market and identifying the companies and people to target with outbound messages. You will need to collect and combine data from different sources, develop compelling messaging in collaboration with other team members, and convince prospects of the benefits of using Kayzen.

 

Responsibilities

  • Generate outbound sales leads from the top 500 global app advertisers

  • Learn about the mobile advertising industry and understand how Kayzen fits into the broader ecosystem

  • Market Research and building contact lists of junior and senior decision-makers

  • Proactively contacting prospects with compelling messages about Kayzen’s unique value proposition

  • Listening to prospects' pain points and connecting them to Kayzen features and services

 

What we’re looking for

This role is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious person looking to start or develop their Sales/BD career through real-world experience pitching to senior decision-makers at the world’s largest app developers.

  • Must have

    • University Degree or equivalent work experience

    • Fluency in English

    • Demonstrated time management skills

    • Proven capacity for clear communication and adapting on the fly

    • Drive and ability to learn a complex product in a complex industry

    • Experience with spreadsheets and using formulas to combine, modify, or analyze data (Excel, Google Sheets)

  • Nice to have

    • Experience with a CRM such as Salesforce or Hubspot

    • Experience with outbound lead generation, such as cold calling, email marketing, or LinkedIn

    • Experience in mobile ad tech or a fast-growing tech startup
