AdaCore is seeking an Accountant apprentice to join our Paris team!

Context and main responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Senior General Accountant of the French entity, the Accountant Apprentice will play an active role in a digitalized ERP environment, with responsibilities including:

  • Day-to-day Bookkeeping and Accounts Monitoring:

    • Assisting with daily bookkeeping tasks within the ERP system, in coordination with the French and international finance teams, including: registering transactions, processing payments, performing controls, and managing other financial data;

    • Preparing for closing operations across various areas: fixed assets, suppliers, account reconciliations, customers, and bank reconciliations, including controls on analytical accounting elements;

    • Contributing to the preparation and review of VAT returns and other tax returns/payments.

 

  • Monthly Closings and Reporting:

    • Reviewing accounts and supporting month-end closing operations within the ERP system, specifically for expenses, revenues, and IT processes;

    • Preparing the annual closing file and actively participating in statutory and other audits;

    • Reviewing the accounts of other entities, in accordance with our internal procedures;

 

  • Participation in Value-Added and Medium-Term Projects:

    • Contributing to the improvement of procedures and participating in related organizational discussions and change implementation;

    • Participating in the selection and implementation of software solutions, including tax planning and controlling tools;

    • Supporting the e-invoicing project, including software selection and implementation.

 

Profile requirements:

  • Currently preparing a Master 1 or 2 in auditing or accounting (ESC type or university DSCG, Master CCA, etc.);

  • Solid understanding of French accounting principles;

  • Prior internship or relevant experience in accounting is a plus;

  • Proficiency in office automation tools, particularly Excel, and a demonstrated interest in ERP systems, accounting software, and digital accounting processes;

  • Good level of English with a willingness to improve; fluency is a plus;

  • We are looking for someone who is rigorous, organized, autonomous, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team.

Timeframe & Location:

During 2025/2026 - 12 months - Paris office
