As a Network & Services Implementation Project manager your key tasks and activities will span several dimensions:


  • Contribute to Digital Transformation by supporting Automation of activities in the direction of Big Data management, Business Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science
  • Coordinate & drive the technological transformation of the data/voice networks from legacy to modern technology platforms  
  • Maintain overall control of managed projects, priorities, financial performance, and utilization of digital tools
  • Coordinate task/work package distribution including delivery & activity prioritization to cultivate a collaborative and teaming environment
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the tools, systems and processes required to provide quality provisioning, implementation and change management
  • Manage 3rd party vendors and lively interaction with internal/external stakeholders to orchestrate delivery of  implementation activitie

Network Implementation:

  • Initiate, plan and execute network projects on Backbone Networks
  • Control procurement, logistics/delivery, regulatory/custom aspects with concerned entities
  • Deploy network infrastructure (PE, MEA, Internet, etc.) to support customer growth
  • Submit Network Change requests as per defined Network Change Management process
  • Utilize Network and Customer IT tools to ensure data integrity of the regional infrastructure
  • Ensure KPIs for on-time implementation of projects are achieved, while strictly following the Orange network change management process
  • Prepare hand over & documentation of completed projects to Operational entities

Capacity & Circuit Ordering:

  • Manage the implementation of transmission capacity (circuits) on Orange networks, in-line changing customer/company requirements
  • Validate, Process circuit backbone orders (new, cancel, rehome) to Carriers and CS&O teams
  • Pro-actively monitor the status of project related orders with both internal and vendor and manage information all Orange tools (ECMS/OOD) to ensure data integrity

Infrastructure/Access optimization:

  • Deliver stellar project management expertise to serve network optimization projects leading to significant optimization/savings for Orange Business Services.
  • Coordinate activities with Sourcing, CS&O, AOM, CSM, FOIS, Sales, Finance , among others to deliver within budget/deadlines
  • Trigger/manage Renewal/Recommitment projects by establishing direct channels with Customer Service Managers & other procurement teams
  • Trigger/manage projects in NAOMI and OPTIMA workflow tools
  • Report clear & concise on financial & operational project performance

Education, qualification and certifications

  • University Degree in a specialization or Telecommunications and/or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of project management experience – Formal accreditation is a bonus (PMP; PRINCE2)
  • Strong technical acumen/skills particularly on ATM, IP, Dial and telecom platforms
  • Advanced knowledge of Cisco Routings, Juniper, Nortel Passports is an absolute MUST – CISCO certifications are highly regarded
  • Language skills: Fluent English required, both spoken and written; Fluent French is a desirable (not mandatory); Fluent Arabic is a bonus (not mandatory)
  • Software Skills: Strong computer literacy &  proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Basic scripting/data manipulation/BI skills are desirable (not mandatory)
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies are desirable (not mandatory)
  • Coding experience in Big Data environment (e.g. Python) are desirable (not mandatory)

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Minimum of 5 years in international telecommunications business/environment
  • Ability to effectively achieve business success while working in a group of experienced professionals
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to be flexible while working in a changing environment; able to manage projects under pressure and think outside the box
  • Ability to operate with autonomy and in a virtual team environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
  • Understanding of Orange Business Services products and/or circuit provisioning tools (e.g. SESAM, OPAS, GINI, and FILEADE) is a plus
