Context

The vision: through a proactive inclusion and diversity (I&D) programme, AdaCore can become the best-in-class employer for critical software development. The Board and OT have given the go ahead to invest in a sustainable I&D initiative in pursuit of the vision and as part of that, we need to recruit a dedicated team of internal I&D advocates to deliver this programme.

 

Reporting to AdaCore’s Inclusion and Diversity Lead for all related work, you will have a direct influence on building and implementing AdaCore’s first I&D initiative with the aim of developing an inclusive workplace culture that values and fosters diversity. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new I&D team, you’ll develop your professional skills and provide specialist insight whilst helping to engage and celebrate our diverse workforce.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Undergo mandatory and comprehensive I&D training 

  • Willingness to explore your own personal conscious and unconscious biases.

  • Help facilitate I&D audits and benchmarking analysis

  • Champion and advocate for I&D throughout the organization by ensuring that messages are appropriately cascaded across internal channels

  • Serve as a key contact for staff to reach out to in confidence with I&D questions and concerns

  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to influence engagement, alignment and accountability

  • Review organizational practices, procedures and policies in line with the I&D strategy

  • Develop organizational communications including internal employee memos

  • Monitor and measure I&D at AdaCore through the use of custom metrics and OKRs

  • Build a comprehensive training program with a mixture of mandatory and optional trainings for different stakeholders

  • Help develop I&D resources/toolkits to be made available to all employees

  • Willingness and ability to devote an appreciable amount of time, particularly in the beginning, per week to the programme ( team meetings, KPIs etc.)

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Have a passion for inclusion and diversity, and the motivation to develop expertise in this field

  • Good communication skills 

  • Be open minded and inquisitive

 

To ensure that the working group is representative of the organization at large, note that we will be recruiting approximately 4-6 advocates from different geographies and areas of the business so that they can bring a variety of perspectives to the table.
